Hey Kim! How’re you doing?

Hi Chante Belle mag! I’m doing really great, thank you!

Good stuff! Since yesterday, you have topped the charts in 146 countries! How does that feel?

(Laughs) Well it’s something I still haven’t found the time to digest this all! It’s definitely a triumph for me. Especially after that horrible knockdown of my career, I just- (sighs) it’s just amazing how my fans were able to bring me back on my feet.

We are all extremely happy for you Eva! You debuted your latest single on the Brits last week after how long! How was that?

Definitely nerve-wracking! I mean, the brits never fails to amaze me with its atmosphere. I grew up watching the show, so to perform again, especially when you’re sharing the stage with my boys One Direction and Adele! It’s safe to say, I am back on track and it sure feels good to be home!

That sure sounds amazing. However, onto a more solemn subject, what caused you to back down last year?

(Shakes head) I started this industry at a young age, for me. Being 16 years old and having camera’s flashing in your face and silly tabloids based on false and twisted accusations was not normal! I lost many friends and I was just too young. I knew that I wasn’t ready for stardom so I decided to take a break when I was 18. It was relaxing but I sure missed this lifestyle.

Your fans are very supportive but how do you cope with all your ‘haters’ on the internet?

My fans overtake the comments and hate. I try and avoid reading all the negativity because it will become an addictive drug. I refuse to let myself fall that low when I have amazing fans.

So, who is this mysterious figure that you speak in your single “He Saved Me”? It wouldn’t happen to be Harry of One Direction would it?

(Blushes) This is one that everyone wants to get their hands on! My answer to that is that there could be a possibility. You’re not getting a specific answer, sorry!

Fair enough. But will we be expecting a collaboration with him and the One Direction boys?

For sure! They actually helped me so much these past few months so they will definitely have a spot on my next single. Such cheeky monkeys they are.

Who has been your favourite collab with so far?

I would have to say Ariana and of course Shawn Mendes! Absolute stars and I would love to collab with them again.

We’ve been admiring your fashion style lately, what are your go to clothing items?

Thank you so much! It depends on the weather. British weather is definitely a bit crazy but if I’m having a rest day with my girls, I’d wear a set of jogging pants and a hoodie, sit around and catch up on the Kardashians.

You have been asked to perform in the Royal Variety Show. Can you give us a teaser on your outfit?

Let’s just say (laughs) Vera Wang is amazing. She is indeed designing my dress for the night.

If you could give advice to your fans, what would it be?

Sometimes life has to get really ugly before it is beautiful. Just wait on it.

And finally, what more do we expect from Kim Espinosa in the near future?

Songs, albums, and maybe more songs! (Laughs) You will definitely expect bigger things from me and my team. I’ve been offered to make my own make up and perfume line which is quite cool! Keep an eye out for that. Also, more singles to be released from my album and more collabs too! The upcoming year seems very exciting and I do hope that it’s only just the beginning.
